Upgrading from HyperEdit to Whisk 2 is easy. In most common cases you just need to install the update and the discounts will automatically be applied for you to purchase. This guide will help walk you through the process. Thank you for being a loyal user!
Whisk 2 requires macOS 10.11 or later. You must use the same store as your previous purchase to get the discount.

RECOVER LICENSE
Step 1: Get Whisk 2
Whisk 2 will launch with a purchase window for unlocking the app.
Click the Check for Upgrade Pricing… button to enter in your HyperEdit v1 registration information.
You'll be getting a fresh copy.

Step 2: Install and Launch
Your existing registration information may show up. If it does not, then you will need to find your serial name and serial number that was provided when you purchaed Tumult Hype. Once you have it, hit Add Previous License… and enter it in.
You should now see any applicable upgrade prices for Tumult Whisk 2. Green text will say Upgrade discount applied. You can check to make sure this matches with the listed upgrade pricing (keeping in mind prices are in USD and may differ for your country).
Step 3: Enter Previous Serial Number

Step 5: Purchase Whisk 2
After downloading, open the Whisk.dmg file.
Drag the Hype icon to the Applications folder.
Then, open the Applications folder and run Hype.

Click Install Update and Whisk will download, install, and relaunch.
If the upgrade discount is not as expected, click the Check for Upgrade Pricing… button to enter in your HyperEdit v1 registration information.
Step 1: Launch HyperEdit and Install Updates
Open your copy of HyperEdit. It should automatically check for updates, if it does not, choose the HyperEdit > Check for Updates… menu.
Note 1: the Tumult Store version of HyperEdit will no longer launch on macOS 10.15 Catalina. You should instead download Whisk 2 from our site.
Note 2: due to macOS security changes, it may falsely report you are on a read-only volume. If so, move Hype to your Applications folder first or re-download from our site.
The update window will appear:

Step 2: Verify Discount
Whisk 2 is a new application on the store and a separate download.
The initial download is free.
Prior to macOS 10.14 Mojave, you can reinstall HyperEdit by clicking the Purchased tab at the top of the Mac App store app and reinstalling HyperEdit.
If you don't have an older version of HyperEdit installed from the Mac App store on your computer, you can reinstall it in the Mac App Store app. Make sure you are logged into the purchasing account via the Store menu.
GET WHISK 2 ON THE MAC APP STORE
On macOS 10.14 Mojave or later, click on your Apple ID name to access your purchases.
Step 3: Get Whisk 2
After downloading the older version, open HyperEdit.

When download is complete, quit HyperEdit and launch Whisk 2.
If you do not see that upgrade discounts are applied, you may need to manually locate the HyperEdit application in the finder. First click Check for Upgrade Pricing… and then if no purchases are listed, click Located Previous Version of HyperEdit Application… and in the open panel, navigate to your Mac App Store version of the HyperEdit application. Make sure it has been launched at least once and you've restored purchases.

When download is complete, quit any HyperEdit copies and launch Whisk 2.
Step 3: Purchase Hype 4
SEARCH LICENSE
The About window shows "1.6" or below for the Tumult Store.
If Hype Is Not Installed:
The first and quickest place to check is your previous purchases on the Mac App Store. Make sure you are logged into the purchasing account via the Store menu.
CONTACT SUPPORT
The About window shows "1.6.1" for the Mac App Store.
On macOS 10.14 Mojave or later, click on your Apple ID name to access your purchases.
If HyperEdit Is Currently Installed:
I found my previous copy on the Mac App Store.
Launch your copy of HyperEdit and then choose the HyperEdit > About HyperEdit menu item. This will show a dialog with the version number and underneath. If it is 1.6.1 then you have the Mac App Store version. Otherwise it is the Tumult Store version.
HYPEREDIT STORE DETERMINATION
If you did not find the copy on the Mac App Store, it is likely you have a Tumult Store version. The best way to find this out is to search your email for "HyperEdit" and see what comes up.
You can also try to recover your serial number by searching our license database for your email address.
I found my Tumult Store registration information.
Please try contacting Tumult Support and we can search for Tumult Store copies if you supply your name and various email addresses that have been used.
